In the Turkey R&D 500 Survey, Atabay ranked 7th in the pharmaceutical sector while climbing 18 places in the overall Turkey ranking to reach 73rd.
The 2025 results of the Turkey R&D 500 Survey, which reveals the companies making the highest R&D expenditures in Turkey, have been announced. With R&D expenditure of TRY 287,429,816, Atabay ranked 7th in the pharmaceutical sector and 73rd across Turkey overall.
Having stood at 91st in the overall ranking the previous year, Atabay recorded an 18-place rise this year. The company, which carried out 49 R&D projects in 2025 with an R&D staff of 67, announced a planned R&D budget of TRY 325 million for 2026.
Atabay’s R&D activities span different areas of the drug development and production chain — from active-ingredient synthesis and process development to finished-product drug development, and from biotechnological products to Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products. Conducted at the Acıbadem and Gebze R&D Centers and within Atabay Bio, this work focuses on transforming scientific knowledge into production capability and domestic pharmaceutical technologies.
