Founded in 1939 in Istanbul by pharmacist \u00d6. Kemalettin Atabay, Atabay is one of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s most established pharmaceutical and API manufacturers. Since its inception, Atabay has operated with the mission of contributing to public health. Today, it serves a broad range of sectors \u2014 from human pharmaceuticals to biotechnology, veterinary medicine, and agrochemicals.<\/p>\n
Atabay began its commercial journey with the import and marketing of pharmaceuticals. In the 1940s, the company made its mark in the Turkish pharmaceutical industry by locally producing sulfonamide-based medicines, which were among the leading treatment options of the time.<\/p>\n
In 1954, Atabay established its modern production infrastructure and expanded its portfolio with analgesic products. In 1967, the company inaugurated its pharmaceutical production facility in Ac\u0131badem, Istanbul, which is still operational today.<\/p>\n
In 1970, under the leadership of B\u00fclent Atabay, the company launched active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production and built a large-scale manufacturing facility in Gebze, Kocaeli. Over time, this facility evolved into a comprehensive complex producing not only APIs for human use but also final products and actives for veterinary and agricultural applications.<\/p>\n
Today, Atabay manufactures high-quality products for human and animal health in GMP-certified facilities, in full compliance with national and international quality standards.<\/p>\n
